Kibart Awarded City of Baltimore Consultant Services ContractDecember
9, 2008 On December 3rd, the Office of Boards & Commissions/Department
of Public Works, Bureau of General Services awarded Kibart, Inc., (one of three
engineering design consultants) a contract to perform on-call mechanical/electrical
engineering services for the City of Baltimore. This contract consists
of preparation of construction documents for repairs, renovations and new construction
related to the mechanical/electrical systems in a variety of public buildings
and miscellaneous structures, utilities and other facilities. The work also includes
field investigation, feasibility studies, construction administration services
and cost estimating. The contract may consist of analyzing existing systems for
safety and code compliance and to prepare temporary and permanent corrective measures.
A major project maybe included in lieu of several smaller projects. Kibart
successfully demonstrated the solid experience needed to receive a contract such
as this, including: - Designing energy efficient systems, including Green
Building design methods.
- Preparing field investigations, feasibility studies,
and reports.
- Ability to provide energy savings engineering studies.
- Familiarly
with energy performance contracting, monitoring and verification methods for Energy
Conservation Measures as related to Energy Performance Contracting and Guarantee
Savings.
- Providing detailed, reliable cost estimates.
- Thorough
knowledge of current federal, state and local building codes and regulations.

Coordinated overall team approach.
Each contract is limited to maximum
total fees of $750,000 and the duration will be two years or until the upset fee
