Maryland Hospital Center has served the western and central counties of Maryland
since 1957 for both chronic hospital patients and long term care residents. This
200,000 S.F. facility has a 123 bed capacity. Kibart services included the following
projects: Electrical Distribution System Renovation
This required extensive system renovations to meet NFPA, NEC, National Electrical
Safety Code, and local Fire codes. A critical requirement was the need for minimal
outages and continued occupancy during construction. Design Features:

Patient
Room HVAC Upgrades Design included phased HVAC upgrades in the
Patient Wings North, East, and West, including electrical design, architectural
renovations, and code upgrades. Each wing remained operational throughout construction. Design

Conversion of Chronic Hospital Beds to Nursing Home Beds Design
