Dumbarton Middle School

Kibart, Inc., fulfilled the role of Prime Consultant as well as Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineers on this renovation project of a 150,000 SF Baltimore County School. This design provided for renovations of all major building systems and equipment, major hazmat abatement, ADA accessibility exterior window replacement, plumbing renovations, upgrades for a three-phase, two-year construction project permitting occupancy throughout construction. Entire design was completed in less than five months, including owner and IAC reviews.

Design included:

• Chiller, pumps and dual temperature piping system.
• New Water and Fire Service.
• Fire Protection and Alarm/Detection Systems.
• Electrical distribution and branch circuit upgrades.
• Card Access, Security and CCTV Surveillance Systems.
• Kitchen hood and serving equipment.
• Elevator and handicapped lifts, and ADA toilets.
• New domestic water and plumbing systems.
• New window curtain walls, doors and storefronts.
• All new ceilings, finish upgrades and chalk/tack boards.
• Asbestos abatement throughout structure.
